A triple error for The Washington Times on double Friday the 13th
9:32 PM EDT Friday, October 13 2006
I saw this on slashdot and couldn't resist posting something about it. There is an article in the Washington Times today talking about how not only is today Fridy the 13th, the numbers of the date add up to 13. (2006-10-13, 2+0+0+6+1+0+1+3=13). The article says a German physicist discovered that this is the first time it has happened in 476, and the last occurrence on January 13, 1520. First of all, 1520 was 486 years ago. Secondly, January 13 fell on a friday this year as well. Lastly, January 13, 1520 was a Tuesday. It is worth noting that if you add the month, day and year and then add the digits, it works for both date but not this past Jan 13:
2006+10+13=2029 2+0+2+9=13
and also
1+13+1520=1534 1+5+3+4=13
but
1+13+2006=2020 2+0+2+0=4
