NFL Week 7

4:27 PM EDT Saturday, October 20 2007

Another horrible week last week of 4-10-2, brining the overall record to 36-45-8, but I'm just 2 games behind the Sports Guy, and 2 games ahead of Lombardi, so I'll have to hang in there.

WASHINGTON -9 over Arizona

I'm expecting Tim Rattay to struggle on the road

NEW ORLEANS -9 over Atlanta

Leftwich is really the wild card here. I don't think their line can block for him, so I'll go with the Saints.

Baltimore -3 over BUFFALO

Hopefully Boller can get it done for one more week going into the bye

New England -16 over MIAMI

The talk of the Patriots going undefeated is starting to heat up, but what about another possibility, that they go 16-0 against the spread? Has anyone ever done that? Do they keep stats for that? I thought about taking Miami here, but by trading away Chambers, they are effectively giving up on this team, and at 0-6, why not.

San Francisco +9.5 over NY GIANTS -9.5

The 49ers are coming off a bye, and Dilfer has a knack for avoiding the pass rush, so the 49ers should make a game of this.

DETROIT -2.5 over Tampa Bay

Detroit is coming off the bye and playing at home

HOUSTON +1 over Tennessee

Vince Young is nursing a leg injury, so I'll take Houston at home

OAKLAND -1 over Kansas City

It's really tough to figure out either of these two teams, so I'll go with the home team.

CINCINNATI -6.5 over N.Y. Jets

Even though the Bengals defense stinks, the Jets don't have enough offense to keep up with the Bengals offense.

DALLAS -9.5 over Minnesota

Romo should have a big day, Minnesota is giving up a league worst 288 passing yards per game.

Chicago +6 over PHILADELPHIA

I think Chicago can keep this one close

SEATTLE -9 over St. Louis

Bulger will be back, but it won't be enough

Pittsburgh -3.5 over DENVER

Denver is giving up a league worst 187 rushing yards per game

Indianapolis -3 over JACKSONVILLE

The Colts are sort of flying under the radar with what the Patriots are doing, but they'll be undefeated going into that big Week 9 match up as well.
